Fashion exhibition at Naprotiv gallery in Moscow

Art cafe and gallery “Naprotiv" is hosting a large-scale “FASHION” exhibition, presenting more than 80 artworks in the fashion style.

The gallery is addressing the topic of fashion illustration for the first time, but despite this, the organizer was able to bring together the works of 17 outstanding representatives of the genre, including exclusive artworks in mixed media traditional materials by fashion artist Irina Uva (Uvarova), a trendy bright “Barbie”, made in oil on canvas sized 60x80 cm by fashion and event illustrator Ekaterina Vasilyeva, miniatures 5x5 cm by artist Annette Golubeva, oil paintings by Lyuba Diker, watercolor fashion portraits by Lilith Nasyrova, pastel works on craft paper by Elena Merkusheva.


Fashion illustration is a bright, actively developing direction of graphic art, the interest in which is enormous not only from professionals, but also from amateurs of different ages. In addition fashion shows sketches, which have gained great popularity, fashion illustration can often be found in advertising campaigns of clothes, shoes and jewelry brands, on the pages of glossy magazines and in fashionable interiors.


The art space also features postcards, T-shirts and shopping bags with fashionable prints. All works are available for sale. The labels attached to the artworks contain a QR code leading to the electronic catalog with all author’s works available.


About the gallery. The art cafe regularly holds exhibitions in its space. Over the 2 years of its existence over 10 exhibitions of contemporary art on various topics have already been held. The art cafe and the gallery is located at 1905 Street, 7 building 1, entrance from Zvenigorodskoye Highway, open every weekday from 9.00am to 9.00pm and on Saturday from 11.00am to 9.00pm. The cafe also offers traditional cuisine, coffee, desserts, and low-alcohol drinks.


The exhibition is available for viewing until September 30, 2023.
